Waiting for Hope

I want to gift to you joy and glee

Amidst the multitude of colours,

The flowers fragrant with varied hues:

Yellow, orange, red and gold!

The day turned out long,

While I sat looking and thinking:

Would people walking the street care?

No one even glanced at me!

I want to go back home to you

Showering smiles and hope,

But I have to wait for now

And free my hands of the bag full.
